Nairn member Calum Scott has booked his place at The Open after a stellar run of form in The Open Amateur Series.
The 20-year-old will tee it up alongside the best in the world at Royal Troon this month as he makes his major debut.
Calum, a former pupil at Nairn Academy, secured his spot with a fourth-place finish at the European Amateur Championship in Denmark, earning him top ranking in the Open Amateur Series.
“I had to play well to secure my spot and there were unanswered questions going into the final round. I tried not to get it in my mind too much,” he said.
“It was an amazing feeling and it hasn’t sunk in yet. I am not sure whether it will until I actually get on to the site and do my stuff.”
