Membership at Nairn Golf Club
Set on traditional links land and adjacent to the Moray Firth – Nairn Golf Club offers a breathtaking golfing experience. Founded in 1887 and host of the Amateur Championship (1994 & 2021), Walker Cup (1999) & Curtis Cup (2012) – Nairn is a globally recognised destination, rich in heritage.
Our primary purpose is to provide an excellent experience for our members and if you would like to be part of that, please find further details below.
‘Ordinary’ membership is relevant to those living within 50 road miles of the Clubhouse and aged 18 or over on 1st January of the current year. This category provides full, unrestricted access to our Courses, Clubhouse, Facilities & Reciprocal Clubs. Ordinary membership is tiered depending on age – 18-25, 26-30 & 31+.
Our 9-hole Cameron Course is a big hit for Junior & beginner golfers, or those looking to enjoy a quick round without the challenges that the Championship Course brings. ‘Cameron’ membership provides full access to the Cameron Course, Practice Facilities & Clubhouse.
We have a strong contingent of ‘distant’ members, who fall in to our ‘Country’ and ‘Overseas’ membership categories. ‘Country’ membership applies to those living out-with 50 road miles of the Clubhouse and ‘Overseas’ membership applies to those who live permanently out-with mainland UK. When visiting Nairn, our Country & Overseas members have the same playing rights as our Ordinary members and with that have full use of our Courses, Clubhouse & Facilities and have full access to our Reciprocal Clubs year-round.
Nairn Golf Club prides itself on a strong Junior section, supported by PGA Teaching Professional, Murray Urquhart. In recent years, alumni of our Junior section have competed at Open Championship’s and represented GB&I in prestigious events such as The Walker Cup & The Jacques Leglise Trophy. We offer Junior membership for all ages, applicable until aged 18 on the 1st of January.
