Nairn have agreed a reciprocal partnership with one of the finest courses in the southern hemisphere.
Members will now be able to gain access to Commonwealth Golf Club, part of the world-famous Melbourne Sandbelt.
The course dates back to 1915 and was originally designed by Sam Bennett, then amended by Charles Lane, a club captain who went on to study golf course architecture. It was recently the subject of a restoration by Renaissance Golf Design, the company led by Tom Doak.
Nairn were introduced to Commonwealth by member Robin Paton, who has played extensively in Australia over a period of many years.
“Located in the world-renowned Melbourne Sandbelt this recently confirmed reciprocal arrangement offers any of our traveling members, a first-class experience through its elegant facilities and championship course that was recently renovated by Renaissance Golf Design,” said Paul Mills, Nairn’s General Manager.
“Likewise, we shall look forward to welcoming and building relationships with the members of Commonwealth when they are visiting the Home of Golf here in Scotland. We are excited to extend our traditional Highlands hospitality to them and showcase our breathtaking location here on the shores of the Moray firth. It will become a home away from home for them,” said Mills.

We look forward to welcoming the Nairn members to Commonwealth, and the Sandbelt, for many years to come.”
This latest reciprocal arrangement is one of a select range of partnerships that extend the fantastic membership offering that Nairn members deserve and expect.
